Windy! 2nd March

Last night it was windy, this morning it was windy, this afternoon it was windy too!

This morning we dismantled the shower. This was prompted by a roller coming off one of the doors last night as MIck had a shower. Mick went off to find any plumbers merchants to buy replacements whilst I gave the shower a really good clean. The doors being out of the cabinet made this really satisfying as I could get to everywhere. As our shower cabinet is Czech, Mick wasn’t able to pick anything up locally. A hunt around online for what looked like the right thing was eventually successful. I’ll pick them up next week whilst I’m in Huddersfield. But for now the old one has been superglued back together, even though it doesn’t turn it holds the door in position.

The roof had a bit of a clean with “Pink Stuff” where our chimney has been dribbling. We have now filled the gap in our double skinned chimney with wool pipe insulation and it seems to dribble much less. We’ll be able to judge this better now the roof is clean.

Red Nosed Lillian

The wind by late afternoon had at last died down somewhat so we moved to fill with water and then onto the 14 day visitor moorings by Tesco. Our journey took us 1h 12 minutes to do 0.2 miles. Whilst whiling away the hour at the water point we fitted our red nose to the front of Lillian. I made this two years ago for our last trip on our share boat NB Winding Down which coincided with Red Nose day.

0 locks, 0.2 miles, 3 plumbers merchants, 1 clean shower, 1 hour filling with water, 1 red nose.
