We were on a mission today. We had plans to do over 10 hours cruising and be at Springwood Haven marina to moor up before they shut at 5PM.
So we were away at 06:30 quietly saying bye bye to Blackbird.

We were through Hilmorton Locks by 07:15 and on to a long lock free pound.

We turned off the Oxford Canal at Hawksbury Junction and headed northbound on the Coventry Canal.
We ended up at the marina near Nuneaton at about 4PM and checked in with the office.

We stayed overnight on board then on Thursday headed back to Scarborough (by car) to see the live streaming of “A Small Family Business” at the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
